About the Tennessee Lottery
The Tennessee Education Lottery launched in 2004 after a constitutional amendment, making it one of the newer US lotteries. It offers Cash 3, Cash 4, Daily Tennessee Jackpot (5/37), Tennessee Cash (5/35 + Cash Ball), Lotto America, plus Powerball and Mega Millions. Tennessee has no state income tax on lottery winnings — only federal taxes apply. Since inception, the Tennessee Lottery has raised over $7 billion for education, funding the HOPE Scholarship that helps Tennessee students attend college. The lottery also funds after-school programs and early learning initiatives across the state.
