One purchase creates three lines
For each $2 Multi-Match play, the player selects six numbers from 1 through 43—or takes a Quick Pick—for the first line. The terminal then generates two additional six-number lines automatically.
That gives the ticket three individual chances to match the six-number drawing. Matching all six on any line wins the jackpot. Matching three, four, or five numbers on a line pays a fixed prize ranging from $2 to $1,000.

With the jackpot now won, Thursday's drawing resets to a $500,000 annuity, with a listed $250,000 cash option. Drawings take place Monday and Thursday nights.
The retailer receives a separate $4,200 bonus for selling the jackpot ticket. That payment does not come out of the winner's prize.
The winner has 182 days to act
Maryland gives the ticket holder 182 days from the drawing date to claim. The lottery advises the winner to sign the back and keep it secure. Prizes above $25,000 must be claimed through Lottery headquarters in Baltimore, either by mail or through an in-person appointment.
