According to the official SuperEnalotto announcement, this was the first jackpot awarded in 2026, the tenth won in Lombardy, and the 119th since SuperEnalotto began.
More than a year without a six-number winner
The jackpot had survived every drawing since May 22, 2025, when a €35.4 million prize was won in Desenzano del Garda—also in Lombardy. That drought allowed Friday's prize to become the largest lottery jackpot available anywhere in the world at the time of the drawing.
